Before we get to my complete website bio, let’s go over the essential facts.
I'm Kara Lea Kennedy. I’m a voicer. I’m an actor. I’m a mid-day writer. From my zombie bunker basement studio (which you can read all about later), I voice commercials, audiobooks, articles, corporate and medical narration that plays all around the world.
While my voice could be classified as “whimsical,” my business is anything but. I love giving my clients the voice they imagined in their heads, but even better! I provide timely turnaround and clear communication every step of the way.

Pitch
My pitch is on the higher end, which is why so many of my voiceover roles include younger characters and more youthful voices. I play really well with audiences looking for a softer and more playful read.
Tone
My delivery leans towards the more conversational read. My voice has been described as confident, quirky and playful, with my strongest reads being from scripts that contain an edge of sarcasm and humor.
Accent
My natural accent is General American, but a lifetime of travel has allowed my senses to be saturated with new dialects, accents, and cultures. My British and Australian accents are most often requested by my clients, so let me know if you'd like a listen!
Style
While my style is more strongly focused on the conversational and light-hearted side, my client-first approach allows me to take direction well and always deliver a sound that is bright, humorous, compassionate, and at times, full of gravitas.
Welcome To My Studio
My home studio is more of a bunker, located in the massive, concrete-walled storage room under our farmhouse front porch.
My entire studio space is beautifully soundproofed and acoustically treated, with walls that stand at 8 inches thick, with an additional layer of sound-absorbing rubber sandwiched between the drywall and the reinforced studs.
All this is to say, that not even a tornado or zombie apocalypse can stop me delivering your voiceover work when you hire me as your voice!
I’ve also decked it out with commercial grade equipment, so it’s broadcast ready and indistinguishable from any high street studio space.
Step-By-Step Guide To Working With Me!

Tell Me Everything
Send me a rundown of your project, as well as a copy of your audition script and I’ll be more than happy to provide you with a custom audition and full quote for the work.

Recording Begins
Once you’re happy with the job specs, we’ll sign our contract and I’ll begin recording. Anything less than 45 minutes in length can be expected to be delivered within 24 hours.

I Do Some Tweaks
Once recording is finished, I’ll send over the final files. I can offer a variety of formats and I’m also more than happy to provide some additional tweaks and edits to make it perfect.

Until Next Time!
Once I’ve delivered the recordings to the perfect standard and delivery, then the project is finished. I’ll then look forward to when we meet again and work on the next one!
